In October 2025, Canary Systems exhibited at the International Slope Stability in Mining Conference, where we joined many industry professionals attending to exchange views on best practices and state-of-the-art slope technologies. The conference focused on best practice with respect to pit slope design, implementation, performance monitoring and investigations.

Our President, Alex Neuwirt, prepared a presentation for the pre-conference Instrumentation and Slope Monitoring and Implementation Workshop. The presentation titled “Incorporation of AI learned numerical processing algorithms to improve risk management in surface mining operations” was presented as part of this workshop on October 26 in Vancouver, Canada. This recording of that presentation was prepared by Alex Neuwirt and focuses on the integration of AI in technologies and use cases for this.
