The MLSAA is a turnkey system to automate data collection for up to 4 Measurand ShapeArrays. It comes integrated with all the components necessary to extract data from the ShapeArray sensors, store it locally, and transmit to the server for further processing and analysis.
MLWebCam
The Canary Systems® MLWebcam integrates the full features of a network camera into a turnkey station for state-of-the-art video monitoring. This unit is specifically designed with geotechnical and structural monitoring applications in mind, but can be used for any project where live video monitoring is needed.
MLWebcam is designed to be a system that fully utilizes customization to suit a site’s individual requirements. MLWebcam stations feature an Axis Q6155-E PTC Network Camera with a Campbell Scientific CR300 datalogger for monitoring battery voltage and internal temperature. A charging regulator, solid state relay, POE (power over ethernet) injector, 12V lead-acid battery charger, and SGX 5150 or Raven RV50 for wireless or cellular communications are also included.
The camera housing can stand up to extreme conditions, with arctic temperature control allowing start-up in temperatures as low as -40 °C (-40 °F) and features such as the speed dry function, which allows the camera to shake off water droplets for a clear image even in rainy weather.
Trigger events and actions can be set up for the camera to initiate recording after events such as motion or shock detection, or for simple triggers such as a scheduled time or whenever the live stream is accessed. Actions can then be set up to record video during alarm events and send email notifications.
MLRemote
The MLRemote is a low-power, point-to-multipoint, wireless datalogging system designed for demanding environments. It is ideal for environments where the monitoring assets consist of numerous types of instruments, distributed over a large area, and are difficult to access or otherwise manage. The high performance spread spectrum radio is available in 900MHz or 2.4GHz frequencies, and a range of up to 100km (60 miles) is possible with use of gain antennas and excellent topography. Range of up to 15km (9 miles) is easily achievable using the standard antenna and most topography.
MLGPS
The MLGPS integrates a multi-function GPS module into a turnkey power control, battery charging and communications platform, specifically designed for geotechnical and structural monitoring applications. It is available in two cost-effective variants: a portable version for quick deployments, and a fixed version for permanent deployments, featuring a NEMA rated enclosure including battery and solar panel.
MLGPS is capable of reading its own panel temperature (output is in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit), reading humidity using a built-in humidity sensor, and recording the status of a switch closure input. This may be used for intrusion detection or connection of a rain gage.
